1. The alternating possession arrow indicator on the scoreboard is sufficient for the conducting the game to indicate the team entitled to the next AP arrow. T-F

Attributes to Run A Game

1. Go over penalties before every game.
2. Keep your game flowing.
3. Learn from someone’s mistakes and learn from your mistakes.
4. Enforce SQBR. 
5. The Trail and Center must protect the Lead’s back side.
6. When the Lead is on the ball. The Trail  must be off the ball and visa-versa.
7. Let plays Start/Develop/ and Finish when the ball is below the free throw line extended.
8. Allow aggressive play, but not physical play.
9. Know the differences between illegal, legal and marginal contact.
10. When plays are coming at you in the lead, get on your back foot and keep the “air” in the pit of your stomach. This way you will be able to process the play and be patient.
11. All fouls that are adjudicated  have to be earned. You cannot miss obvious fouls.
12. If Respect of the Game Guide lines are violated its a technical foul. Heat of the moment is not. 
13. Strive for excellence and not perfection.
14. When calling a technical foul, report it and get out of “harms way”. Go opposite of the table. 
15. When reviewing your technical foul, ask yourself the following , was it effective, did it fit the game and can your supervisor defend it. 
16. See what caused your technical foul. Evaluate your performance and be honest with your assessment. Judgment is involved when calling a technical foul. 
17. When ruling on a technical foul, you must ask yourself if the technical foul was warranted. 
18. Don’t Avoid or Appease.
19. When calling a technical foul do it with dignity. Show poise, do not point at the offender, if you have to point , point to the floor.
20. When officiating the defense,  ask yourself is the defender contesting the shot; or is the defender striving to obtain position.
21. Missed travels lead to fouls and wide open plays. Don’t prioritize fouls over violations.
22. Be a situational official. Have situational awareness.
23. Know your personnel when officiating.
24. Know the personality of your game.
25. Keep a journal after each game.
