Please describe the difference between Federation and NCAA policy when it come to the net flipping over the rim on a made basket. Should the game be stopped to straighten the basket net?

Hi Al:
Are the previous MPSSAA Mercy Rules in effect for 2021-2022? Could you please review the Mercy Rule and clarify if there is 10 second backcourt count applied when the shot clock is turned off in a girl's game?

Thank you!

Al

Watched your 30 sec presentation on the BD 12 website

Although a lot of it indicates NCAA/ DC leagues.. One thing I noticed that sounds absolutely logical to do is 'end of quarter' when shot clock is 'off' return to 'visible' 10 sec count. I don't think this was mentioned in the MPSSAA presentations. Could you please interpret this and provide and general comment for all boards not just Bd 12.since we don't all have the DC etc leagues it was indicated for.

Thanks

Pastor Bob Schmitt

Can a player hit a defender accidentally and a foul not be called? I had a situation where the defender was not in legal guarding position and as A1 began their dribble B1 was so close the elbow of A1 struck B1. I don't feel A1 hit B1 but B1 was so close that B1 may have hit A1. If that makes any sense.

Intentional foul and technical fouls called on 2 players arising out of roughly same event at roughly same time do not offset like 2 technical s--correct? Tx

Al:
A recent play situation in RefQuest showed a player diving for a loose ball, gaining possession, and the players momentum caused the player to slide about 6-8 feet across the floor. The RefQuest analysis said this was legal, and I've searched the Rules book to locate what supports this. Is this a violation or legal play, and do you know where in the Rules book this is addressed.

Thanks in advance,

Joe
