For all fouls and violations by the defense that result in a throw-in in the frontcourt with 19 or less on the shot clock, the shot clock will reset to 20. If the time remaining on the shot clock is 20 or more, the shot clock will stay where it is.
For all fouls by the defense that result with a throw-in in the backcourt, the shot clock will reset to 30. |
Whenever the ball is going to be inbounded in the frontcourt following a time-out, foul or violation other than out of bounds charged to the defense, the ball must be inbounded at one of four spots on the floor: one of the two 28-foot marks on either sideline, or one of the 3 foot marks (probably not marked on your floor, so officials will have to estimate) on either side of the lane. When the ball is deflected out of bounds by the defense, the ball must be inbounded at that spot, and a time-out by the offense will not enable the ensuing throw-in to move to one of the four spots. With NCAA adoption, defensive fouls or violations in the FT semicircle will go to the 28-foot sideline mark.

A minimum of .3 must come off the clock at the end of each quarter whenever the ball is legally touched inbounds with :59.9 or less on the game clock.

The coaching box will expand to 38 feet from its current 28 feet requiring the need to have a 38-foot line marked.
