NFHS Edition
Excellent Quiz by Goht Van Den Brink
Situation: A1 is an airborne shooter when B5 commits basket interference. Before A1 returns to the floor, A1 charges into B1.
Q1: Basket interference by B5 means the ball is counted, regardless of the player control foul that follows.

Q2: A1 is still charged with a player control foul, and Team A is assessed one team foul.

Q3: Since Team B is in the bonus, they will shoot free throws.

Q4: Team B will have a designated spot throw-in from the end line.

Q5: One of the 2025–26 rule changes uses the 3-point line to determine frontcourt throw-in spots after fouls or violations. Plays above the arc go to the 28-ft spot; plays below go to the 3-ft endline spot.

Answers:
Q1: Team A is awarded 2 points.
Q2: True (IRG Play 9-4-1)
Q3: False (IRG Play 9-4-1) No free throws are awarded for a player control foul, even if the opposing team is in the bonus.
Q4: False. Team B will have the privilege of moving along the end line during the ensuing throw-in (7-5-7, 9-11 penalty 1)
Q5: True (Rule Change 25-26 — 7-5-4) The 3-point line is now the clear visual marker for determining throw-in spots in the frontcourt, replacing the previously used imaginary line.
