Q2: Following Q1, before the clock has started, Team A requests another 60-second time-out. The official allows it.
 
Q3: During a successive time-out, substitute A6 reports to the scorer’s table before the 15-second warning horn. The official denies the substitution, stating it is the same dead-ball request.
 
Q4: At halftime, no Team A member or representative reports which players will start the 3rd quarter. As a result, the five players who finished the 2nd quarter will start the 3rd quarter.

    Al Battista is regarded as one of the most knowledgeable experts in the field of basketball rules at all levels.  In addition to this, he is a well-known clinician and observer of officials.   Currently, he is Maryland State and Board 12 Interpreter for scholastic basketball.  He has served as an officials’ observer for the NBA and WNBA and is currently the NBA chief scout for officials in the Northeast USA.
